With merely days left in the winter transfer window, there are quite a few positions where Celtic could do with reinforcements. One of them is definitely striker as the club have said goodbye to Kyogo Furuhashi recently with the Japanese international joining Rennes. There was already a need to strengthen there and now, it is something that should not be overlooked and pushed back until the summer, especially with important games coming up against Bayern Munich.

Celtic have been linked with players like Mathias Kvistgaarden of Brondby and David Strelec of Slovan Bratislava recently. But now, it looks like a former Manchester City and Leicester City striker is on their radar as well. In fact, talks are already underway.

As reported by Raman Bhardwaj, Celtic are in talks with Sevilla to sign striker Kelechi Iheanacho on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy. He worked under the management of Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City

In fact, Iheanacho found most of his success while playing under the management of Rodgers. He scored 43 times while working together with the Northern Irish manager.

It remains to be seen how things play out. Iheanacho is not making much of an impact at Sevilla right now.

As a result, the Spanish club might very well be open to the idea of him leaving in the middle of the campaign. Whether the Hoops will be able to get a deal done or not is a different matter.

Of course, Iheanacho would be a big name addition for Celtic. But considering his recent form, signing him would come with a bit of risk for sure. Let's see how it all works out. One can only hope that a striker is signed soon.
