It looks like Celtic are looking to repeat a trick in their attempt to replace Nicolas Kuhn, who is headed for Como FC this summer, after being linked with RB Leipzig and Newcastle United as well. On the other hand, the Hoops might be looking to bring in a winger who has replaced him at Rapid Vienna already.

The player we are talking about is Isak Jansson, the current starting winger for Rapid Vienna. He scored 9 goals and provided 6 assists last season. And it looks like Celtic have already taken their first step towards a move.

As reported by CeltsAreHere, Celtic have stepped up their pursuit of Jansson. They have made a bid believed to be in the region of €2-3 million.

But a report from earlier in the day had suggested that Rapid Vienna were looking for a much bigger fee, and realistically, there is no chance that Celtic's opening bid will be accepted. As reported by Anthony Joseph, the Austrian club would be looking for a fee in the region of £10m.

Jansson has done a fantastic job of replacing Kuhn at Rapid Vienna. Could he do the same job for Celtic? We will find out very soon. Let's see what the future holds.

Also, it is worth pointing out that Celtic are looking to sign other wingers as well. Michel-Ange Balikwisha is a name that continues to be linked with the Hoops. Will the Scottish champions submit a bid for him as well?

Of course, there are other positions where Celtic will be looking to improve in this summer transfer window as well. So, expect a lot of activity at Parkhead over the coming weeks and months. It is an exciting time for Hoops fans.
