Celtic will look to put in some impressive performances right after the international break with important games coming up for Brendan Rodgers' side. There will be a top of the table contest between them and Aberdeen, with both teams having won all seven of their league matches so far in this campaign. Then, there is a Champions League away day to take on Atalanta. The Hoops will surely be keen to bounceback after the Borussia Dortmund result.

One player who might get a chance to impress is Barcelona loanee Alex Valle. The Spaniard has featured a bit more regularly in recent games with Greg Taylor believed to be out injured.

But now, there seems to be a twist in the tale. There is a suggestion that Taylor might have had a falling out with Rodgers.

At least those are the rumours that are reaching former Celtic player, Frank McAvennie. As reported by Football Insider, he said about the situation:

"You hear Greg Taylor is injured or you hear he’s fallen out with the manager, there is all sorts of rumours going about a bust-up, that’s what I am hearing from people around the club.

“But at the moment, the boy has come in and he’s not done anything wrong, and Greg will know whether he’s injured or whether he’s fallen out with the manager, he will have to fight to get back in.

“And that’s competition, it’s good for the team."

It remains to be seen whether the rumour is accurate or not. Personally, we had not heard any such speculation before this report.

Taylor did not take part for Scotland during the recent international break as well as he is believed to be recovering from an injury he picked up recently. The belief is that he will be back at some point soon after the international break although it is not clear when exactly.

Taylor is an important part of Celtic's starting XI and has been for quite some time. And if you take out the Borussia Dortmund game, he has been performing very well too. Just a few weeks ago, fans were calling for him to be handed a contract extension. Valle has shown promising signs too though, so let's see how he does moving forward.
