There are a number of players at Celtic who are in tremendous form right now and it is almost inevitable that clubs will try to sign them in the future. That is just the reality of life at Parkhead and fans are used to seeing the best depart. On the other hand, there are also those delivering spectacular performances while out on loan.

One name that comes to mind immediately is that of Alexandro Bernabei. The Argentine left-back is currently on loan at SC Internacional and seems to be drawing a lot of praise for his performance.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Internacional chiefs are planning talks with Celtic in a bid to reach a deal to sign Bernabei permanently. It is believed that they are due to fly to Europe for several recruitment meetings and want to discuss the Argentine left-back's situation with the Parkhead side.

Of course, one would imagine that Celtic would be open to the exit of Bernabei. He did not do much during his time in Glasgow and seemed to have his problems off the pitch as well. So, parting ways on a permanent basis might be the best step for everyone.

Celtic ready to begin talks over permanent transfer

There have been some rumours which have suggested that Celtic would look for a transfer fee around £8 million to part ways with Bernabei. That is an ambitious figure for sure.

But at the same time, it is not unrealistic. If there was a left-back rising in Brazilian football, who was on the verge of making it into the Argentine national team picture, would not clubs around Europe be willing to pay that figure to sign him?

So, it remains to be seen how things turn out in this Bernabei saga. Hopefully, it works out for everyone involved.
