Well, the Celtic Annual General Meeting went even worse than what the board would have expected. At first, it was adjourned within the first five minutes as the fans made their displeasure and dissatisfaction with how the club has been run pretty clear through boos, red cards and chants. Many walked out during this break. They would resume it later but had to call it off after merely 25 minutes.

If the board had been hoping that a decent string of results, including a Scottish League Cup semi-final win over the Rangers at Hampden Park, would have turned the mood of the supporters around, they were clearly mistaken. And it remains to be seen how things go from here.

One would imagine that the fans will continue in this manner. They seem more determined to see change take place at the board level this time around than they have in the past.

On the other hand, considering some of the comments coming out of the AGM, it does not seem like the club have any intention of making any changes. It was the same message of how there have been mistakes but everybody is doing their best and it is just a small fraction of supporters causing problems.

The club also released an official statement regarding the abandonment of the AGM. A part of it read:

"Regrettably, due to the continuing disruptive conduct of a small number of individuals preventing the orderly management of today’s AGM, we were required to conclude the meeting earlier than we had planned.

Such conduct is completely unacceptable and hugely disappointing, and while today’s events are completely outwith our control, clearly we regret the impact on our shareholders who were deprived of the opportunity to take part in an orderly and constructive meeting."

To be very honest, this is not a small section of supporters making their displeasure known. When you cannot conduct the AGM due to the issue, it is pretty clear that it is not a minor number of fans, that is for sure.

This is not a good look for the club at all. And it will be very interesting to see if there is any kind of response to it.
