A lot of eyes are on Celtic and how they will navigate the upcoming summer transfer window. Having shown progress in the Champions League this season and making it to the knockout phase, the fans are eager for the club to push on and make that the norm rather than an anomaly. For that to happen, they will have to make solid additions to the squad while also keeping its core together.
There are some players though who do not seem vital to Brendan Rodgers' current and future plans. So, do not be surprised to see a few faces head for the Parkhead exit door come the summer transfer window.
As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Luis Palma is on loan at Olympiacos with a future fee of around £3.5 million on the table should a permanent deal be sought. Rodgers will greenlight that exit.
The same can be said for FC Twente and the Dutch club's wish to sign Gustaf Lagerbielke on a permanent basis. The Swedish centre-back was signed last summer on an initial loan deal that could become worth around £3 million to Celtic.
Celtic ready to sanction £6.5 million double deal
Neither Palma nor Lagerbielke were getting much playing time when they were at Celtic Park. So, it is not hard to see why the club might be open to parting ways with them on a permanent basis in the summer window this time around.
They are out on loan at the moment. And the positive news is that both of them seem to be doing well for their current clubs.
That will only increase their chances of making a move in the summer. It might be a case of their loan clubs wanting to sign them on a permanent basis or others looking to bring them in.
