Recently, Celtic have allowed arguably their best signing of this Brendan Rodgers era to leave, with Nicolas Kuhn signing for Como FC merely 18 months after arriving at Parkhead from Rapid Vienna. He enjoyed a meteoric rise in Glasgow and now finds himself at one of the most ambitious clubs in Italian football.

Of course, Celtic's overall record with signings has been hit and miss in recent years. One move that clearly did not work out was bringing in South Korean midfielder, Kwon Hyeok-kyu, from Busan IPark.

Celtic have enjoyed great success signing players from the J-League. But the same cannot be said about their record when it comes to the K League. Oh Hyeon-gyu has already departed, Yang Hyun-jun has failed to establish himself as a regular contributor, and now, it looks like Kwon could be on his way out as well, with their being interest in his signature while the Hoops are ready to part ways for a modest transfer fee.

As reported by Fussball Europa, Kwon is on Austria Vienna's list. However, they are not the only interested party. Celtic are asking for a fee of between €200,000 and €300,000 for a permanent transfer this summer.

Kwon spent the previous season out on loan at Hibernian. He started well but by the end of the campaign, he had lost his place in the team.

Celtic are believed to be open to the idea of another loan spell as well. But the preference is believed to be for a permanent transfer, and they are not looking for a high fee either.

It remains to be seen how things turn out for Kwon this summer. If Celtic are really looking for a fee in that region, expect him to get a permanent move soon.
