It is safe to say that the majority of the Celtic fanbase is dissatisfied with how the club has been run in recent times and want change to be made to the football model. Amid all this, the Hoops have announced record revenue numbers and profits, which makes their lack of ambition even more confusing.
One of the drawbacks of this lack of ambition has been their constant failure to make it to the Champions League, whenever they are put in a qualification process. They did so for more than half-a-decade before getting an automatic spot for the past three years.
This time around, Celtic had to defeat Kairat to qualify for the Champions League but could not, failing to score in over 210 minutes of regulation football before losing on penalties. And one of the main reasons behind that was their failure to bring in quality players before the tie.
Now, Celtic will be playing in the Europa League. But there does not appear to be a ton of interest amongst the fans for those games. The constant announcements regarding the ticket packages would suggest that, with the club coming out with a new one.
Celtic quietly make another Europa League announcement
Celtic have announced on their official website that rom 10am on Monday, September 22 until 9am on Tuesday, September 23, relocated Season Ticket holders can purchase their 2025/26 UEFA Europa League four-match package. Then, from 10am until 2pm on Tuesday, September 23, Season Ticket holders who have not purchased a four-match package can buy an individual match ticket for any of the four matches they are set to play at home in the competition.
It will be very interesting to see what sort of attendance Celtic have for these games. It is rare for them to have an empty seat on European nights.
That being said, the reaction of the fans has been unprecedented in recent weeks. Most of them are unhappy and might choose to sit out.
