This January transfer window could be a lot more busier for Celtic than anybody could have expected. They have been linked with plenty of high-profile names over the last few months including Kieran Tierney, Carney Chukwuemeka, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Christian Eriksen and more. On the other hand, there are plenty of players being linked with moves away as well.

Cameron Carter-Vickers and Kyogo Furuhashi are two key starters who are believed to be drawing interest from abroad. The likes of Stephen Welsh and Luis Palma are expected to be on their way out. And it looks like Greg Taylor might be eyeing the exit door as well.

Taylor has been a regular starter for the Hoops for a long time. But his current deal is set to run out at the end of the season and interestingly, an extension has not been agreed yet.

As reported by Jutarnji, Taylor is pressuring his club to let him go to Zagreb and under the coaching baton of Fabio Cannavaro. However, nothing can be said with certainty yet, so we need to wait for the outcome of the story surrounding the experienced defender.

Taylor is a decent player for sure and has done a good job for Celtic over the years. But there is a feeling that that is one area of the pitch where the Hoops can improve.

At the same time, Tierney is being linked with a move to Celtic. It is believed that the club are interested in signing him as a free agent next summer but have not closed the door on bringing the Scot back this January itself.

Let's see what the future holds for Taylor. Hopefully, the club will not consider an exit before they are able to bring in a replacement.
