One issue that Celtic have faced in recent times is their inability to find a way to provide a pathway for the club's youth and developmental talent into the senior team. Celtic player quietly completes exit as announcement made
It has been close to a decade since someone was able to make the jump to the senior team for Celtic and become a regular starter. Bonetig won't be the one to end that streak as he heads back to Australia.
There was a lot of excitement around the talent when he was signed a couple of years back. But unfortunately, he was not able to make the grade at Celtic. We can only wish him the best in his journey moving forward.
This is part of a much bigger problem for Celtic though and one that they need to solve as soon as possible. Right now, there is little connection between the first-team and the academy.
