Celtic won against Aberdeen to go 16 points clear in the Premiership. Of course, that lead has been cut down already after the Rangers won their first game under the management of Barry Ferguson, away at Rugby Park against Kilmarnock. All things considered, the Hoops are in a great position though, with just 10 league games left to be played.
Of course, one would imagine that Celtic players are delighted with how this season is playing. That might not be the case with all of their players though.
Adam Idah, for example, seems to be in a tricky position. It had looked like he was the undisputed number one up top for Celtic after Kyogo's exit in the winter. But less than a month on, that situation appears to have changed.
Idah was left out of the starting XI in Celtic's biggest game of the season, against Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena. In the following match against Hibernian, he was taken off at half-time. And the Irishman found himself back on the bench vs Aberdeen.
Celtic player looked 'really unhappy' despite winning
He was brought on in the second half against Aberdeen but did not do much of note. As reported by 67 Hail Hail, when the Sky Sports cameras panned past Idah, the Irish striker was looking really unhappy as the rest of his Celtic teammates celebrated the win.
It is safe to say that things are not going too well for Idah at the moment. Once again, he might find himself playing the backup role, something he had to do for the entire first half of the season.
When Celtic made a significant investment to sign Idah from Norwich City, the hope was that he would develop into their first-choice striker eventually. So far, the signs are not looking good.
