It is hard to imagine that the Hoops would not have made it official, if a new deal was in place. Also, the left-back's latest post on social media appears to hint at an impending exit.

Taylor posted pictures of himself lifting the league title on Trophy Day, with teammates surrounding him on the podium. It was accompanied by the caption "Lived it and loved it" with a green heart and a trophy emoji.
Without reading too much into things, that does feel like a farewell message from Taylor. We can only hope that we are wrong.
Taylor has been an important part of this team since joining in the summer of 2019. And he could be the perfect backup option for Kieran Tierney, if he does end up staying.
