Celtic need all the help that they can at this point in time, amid a flat run of form and performances. And it looks like they are going to be handed some much-needed options moving forward, as one player has declared his return from injury. Of course, it is not something that is gonna take care of all their problems, but it does make things a bit easier for Brendan Rodgers. At least one would hope so.
The club went out and spent £6 million last summer to sign Auston Trusty from Sheffield United. Admittedly, the American international did not meet expectations in his debut campaign and lost his starting spot to Liam Scales by the end of the campaign.
He did impress in pre-season this time around but would end up picking up an injury early in the campaign. Fortunately, it has not kept him out for too long and he now seems to be back available.
Trusty posted the message himself on his Instagram. He wrote:
"Annddd we’re back in action! Feels good to be back on the pitch, and I’m excited to pick up where I left off."

Well, Trusty had left off as the cover option on the bench behind Cameron Carter-Vickers and Scales. That being said, many fans felt that he was doing better this season and deserved more chances as a starter.
It is also worth pointing out though that Celtic have been pretty solid defensively this season, for the most part. In six league games, they have only conceded once. In their Europa League opener, they also conceded one time, although that was largely due to Kasper Schmeichel's error rather than anything wrong that the defenders did. And in the Champions League qualifier against Kairat, they kept clean sheets in both legs.
So, it has been pretty solid for the most part. One would imagine that Rodgers would not be too keen to change that up.
