Celtic might be closing in on a treble but this summer is expected to be one full of changes for the club. This squad has done a great job over the years but it feels like a cycle might be coming to an end for the Hoops. In the second half of the campaign, things had stagnated a bit for sure and there is a need to freshen things up.

That would mean bringing in fresh faces in the summer transfer window. But in addition to making the right signings, it will also be important to part ways with some players who do not have a future at the club.

Luis Palma's name certainly falls under that category. After barely getting any playing time in the first half of the season, he left in the winter to join Olympiacos on loan.

It was seen as a good move for Palma. He already had previous experience playing in Greece from his time at Aris FC. But things have not gone smoothly for him, as he has struggled to make much of an impact and Olympiacos are not expected to pick up the buyout clause in his deal.

While Olympiacos might not end up signing Palma, that does not mean that he will stay at Celtic. Things already seem to be fluid behind the scenes.

As reported by Futbol Centroamerica, Palma's next club has yet to be confirmed, but his representatives are already working to secure opportunities for the immediate future. Several clubs have expressed interest, but an offer must be finalised. The truth is that Celtic will not put up any obstacles to the player's departure, although they will seek to make it a permanent exit.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Palma. It does feel like a permanent exit is being worked on.
