'Celtic mouthpiece' - Rangers fans meltdown about own club legend

It is safe to say that the Rangers fans do not sound happy about one of their club legends, even calling him a 'Celtic mouthpiece'.

In the 20/21 campaign, the Rangers did well to prevent Celtic from getting 10IAR. But the Ibrox club might find themselves in a similar situation again pretty soon. The Hoops have won four league titles in a row already and as things stand, it is hard to see them not continuing that run considering the gap that exists between the two sides.

Brendan Rodgers' side were comfortably better than the Rangers last season. And despite all the talk of a big summer transfer window, not much has changed at Ibrox despite the change in ownership.

One move that they made recently is saying goodbye to Barry Ferguson, who had been put in interim charge following the sacking of Philippe Clement. He has been replaced by Russell Martin, as the Rangers hope to find a way to catch up with Celtic.

Ferguson recently made his return to punditry work. And somewhat surprisingly, it looks like a large section of the Rangers support were not particularly impressed.

'Celtic mouthpiece' - Rangers fans meltdown about own club legend

The Born Celtic website carried a lot of funny posts on Follow Follow regarding Ferguson's return to punditry. One of their fans called him a 'Celtic mouthpiece' while plenty others stated that they had no interest in what he had to say.

It is safe to say that Ferguson was an Ibrox legend as a player. But it looks like his time as interim of the club has not enhanced his reputation with the Rangers' fans.

Of course, that is the last thing that Celtic supporters will be worried about. Their focus will be on the Hoops and their lack of signings in recent weeks, while we have seen plenty depart Parkhead. Hopefully, significant additions will be made over the coming weeks to provide Brendan Rodgers with the squad that he needs to win domestically and compete in Europe.
