It is still unclear whether Martin O'Neill will be in interim charge of Celtic by the time this international break comes to an end. The rumours around Wilfried Nancy are growing at a rapid pace right now and he looks like the frontrunner to get the role. Of course, that has divided the opinion of the supporters, many of whom would want a proven name in European football, like Kjetil Knutsen of Bodo/Glimt or Nicky Hayen of Club Brugge.

Some would also like to see O'Neill continue for a bit longer. He has been brilliant when it comes to domestic games so far. 4-0 wins over Falkirk and Kilmarnock have bookended the 3-1 League Cup semi-final victory over the Rangers.

Perhaps O'Neill deserves to manage Celtic in a final for what would surely be the last time, having helped them reach it. And if they can win against St Mirren, the photo of him lifting the trophy would be iconic.

Let's see whether he is afforded that opportunity or not. The club have made an announcement regarding that game, which is set to be played on December 14.

As reported by Celtic's official website, tickets for the game will go on sale week commencing November 24. It will be done after they receive final confirmation of their ticket allocation.

We have seen Celtic struggle to move tickets this season, as the fans are not happy with how things are being run at the club and want change to take place. They are not going to have any such problems with this fixture though. The fans are not going to miss the chance to potentially see the Hoops lift another trophy.

They will be the favourites against St Mirren. But after what we have seen from them this season, and in the Scottish Cup final against an out-of-form Aberdeen not too long ago, nothing should be taken for granted.
