There has been a lot of good news for Celtic lately. Firstly, they made it clear that Hoops fans were going to be in attendance for the away trip to the Allianz Arena to take on Bayern Munich next week. Then, the Rangers ended up getting eliminated from the Scottish Cup at the hands of Championship opposition Queen's Park.

Now, there is another fantastic bit of news for Celtic.. Something that absolutely nobody was expecting but one that is welcome for sure.

Daizen Maeda was supposed to miss the first leg of the Bayern Munich tie. He was serving a suspension for a red card he had picked up late in the game against YB.

Of course, Maeda was going to be a huge miss. He has scored six goals and provided two assists in just the last three games. He is not only effective in terms of goal contributions though. The Japanese forward brings an unmatched work-rate to the table as well, Fortunately, Celtic will have that available this week against Bayern Munich.

It would be an understatement to say that this is welcome news for Celtic. One has to imagine that Brendan Rodgers will be absolutely delighted with this piece of news, as will be the club's supporters.
