It would be an understatement to say the relationship between Celtic and a large part of the club's fanbase is strained right now. Many want to see changes at the board level as they do not agree with how things have been run at Parkhead for the past several years. On the other hand, the club seem intent on holding their ground and have shown no signs of trying to deal with the supporter pressure.

Of course, one of the groups at the centre of it all is the Green Brigade. And many might raise their eyebrows at the timing of their ban from attending matches.

The club have released another statement regarding the status of the Green Brigade. It looks we won't be seeing them in attendance for a while.

As reported by the club's official website, the suspension of the Green Brigade has been extended due to safety incidents. The club have suspended their season tickets and access to tickets at Celtic Park and away matches.

The situation is far from ideal. The Green Brigade might have had their fair share of controversies over the years, but there is no doubt that their presence makes Celtic Park a much livelier place and is part of the famous Parkhead atmosphere that has been lauded all over the world.

Ideally, you would want the fanbase to be united with a new manager set to arrive soon, most likely in the top-of-the-table game against Hearts. But at the moment, that is not the case.

Let's hope that the situation is sorted as soon as possible. As for us, all we can do is focus on the task at hand, which is the next game against Dundee FC at home, which is also set to be Martin O'Neill's last match in charge of Celtic.
