Celtic are one of the best supported clubs in world football. That is something that some fans outside of Scotland might not realise. But the Hoops certainly have one of the biggest and even more importantly, most passionate, fanbases in world football. And it is about time that they get that recognition.
Celtic's partnership with Adidas has been a grand success. Plenty of aesthetically pleasing kits been released over the past years. Admittedly, there have been a few misses along the way as well but overall, it has been a positive run for sure.
And rumours doing the rounds suggest that Celtic and Adidas are on the verge of signing an extension. It will not only give the club a bigger deal but also place them in the list of 'elite' teams, which include Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Juventus and Bayern Munich.
The collections do keep coming thick and fast. On the club's official website, the release of the new Adidas Love Unites x Celtic FC collection was announced. It will feature a stylish jersey alongside a track jacket, shorts and socks.
Celtic make another announcement amid major rumours
This is a collection that we have seen in the past. And the expectation is that there will be a lot more collections when or if Celtic are placed in the list of Adidas' elite teams.
The best thing that could come out of that might be the retro style kits that Adidas do come out with for teams like Manchester United, Real Madrid and more every season. They are truly fantastic and something like that for Celtic would be a big hit with the fans.
The timing would fit with the rumours that we could be about to see the return of the iconic bumblebee kit soon. Let's see how it all plays out.
