There are plenty of rumours surrounding Celtic at the moment. All things put together though, it does not look like the club are about to sack Wilfried Nancy despite the Glasgow Derby defeat, and six losses in eight games in total since his appointment. That is quite the decision, and one that will further widen the gap between the board and the fanbase.

This is not how football clubs should be run. That is for sure. Sooner or later, even the most dedicated fans will start losing interest if things do not change quickly. That is a situation that Celtic cannot afford to find themselves.

Interestingly, a rumour had emerged last night about Celtic making a move for an experienced coach to add to Nancy's backroom staff. That would have represented a vote of confidence in the French manager, when he is under so much pressure, and probably would have been a popular decision.

As it turns out, that is not going to be the case and the rumour was off the mark. As reported by Michael Shearer, Chris Armas will not join Celtic’s coaching staff, despite recent rumours linking him to the Hoops. No deal is in place, and nothing official is underway.

Armas has an extensive coaching CV, that is for sure. He has had roles at a lot of clubs, including Manchester United and Leeds United.

He was also manager of the Colorado Rapids for a few years, before being shown the exit door very recently. So, it would have been questionable whether he would make that step down to coaching again.

Anyways, it looks like no such move is on the cards. Let's see where Celtic go from here, as they try to find some form.
