Celtic could be on the lookout for a winger this winter. Luis Palma's future with the club is in doubt. The Honduran, who had been so impressive early on in his time at Parkhead after joining last year, has seen himself slip down the pecking order and has barely gotten playing time this season. Clubs from the MLS are believed to be interested in signing him.

On the other hand, if Palma did leave, one would expect Celtic to sign someone to replace him. Hopefully a player who will have a lot more involvement in Brendan Rodgers' plans.

Michel-Ange Balikwisha is someone who has been linked with a move to Celtic for a while now and those rumours have cropped up again ahead of January, as he made a return from injury recently. But the Belgian is not the only winger who seems to be on the Hoops' radar.

As reported by Nettavisen, the future of Sondre Ørjasæter is an open question a few weeks before the transfer window opens, although Sarpsborg has no desire to part ways with him this winter. Celtic and Red Bull Salzburg are said to have followed the winger closely throughout the year.

Ørjasæter currently plays for Sarpsborg. He is believed to have a contract with the club until the end of 2027, so Celtic might need to shell out a significant transfer fee in order to sign the winger.

The 21-year-old is viewed as a very highly-rated talent in Norway and he has reprsented the Norwegian national team at youth international levels. Let's see if Celtic do end up making a move for him. RB Salzburg are another club believed to be keeping an eye on him.

One would hope that Celtic do strengthen at the left flank this winter. That is because Daizen Maeda has no real competition right now.
