Celtic need a striker with Kyogo Furuhashi set to leave the club in order to join Rennes. We might not have seen him at his very best since Ange Postecoglou was replaced by Brendan Rodgers. Despite that, the Japanese international was the Hoops' best option up front. Adam Idah is currently on a 14-game goalless run and is not ready to be the main centre-forward as the Glasgow giants look to win two more domestic trophies and perform well in the Champions League knockout phase.

Celtic have been linked with a few strikers in recent days. If they do end up signing someone, Mathias Kvistgaarden of Brondby IF feels like the most likely option.

It is also possible that the club might not sign someone and instead decide to move Daizen Maeda to a more central role. He plays there for Japan and found great success at Yokohama F. Marinos while playing as a striker.

On the other hand, a high-profile name has also been suggested as a potential option for Celtic. It is Tammy Abraham of AS Roma, who is currently on loan at AC Milan.

As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Andy Walker said on Go Radio when asked about Abraham:

"I wouldn’t be surprised if Celtic brought in a big name player on loan – someone that we are all familiar with.

“Someone who has a good reputation, a good pedigree.

“Whether it’s for the long-term that remains to be seen."

Abraham has recently found goals tough to come by. While on loan at AC Milan, he has managed to score just twice in the Serie A this season and six goals in total from 26 appearances.

There is no doubt about his ability to find the back of the net though. He has done that for multiple clubs over the years and at all levels. So, it is safe to say that someone like Abraham would be a brilliant signing for Celtic, if they were able to pull it off, even on a loan basis.
