Jota suffered a serious injury towards the end of the season that could keep him out for as many as nine months. Nicolas Kuhn struggled for form and has been heavily linked with a move away. Yang Hyun-jun has failed to establish himself in the first-team. All things considered, Celtic have been left in a tough position on the wings.

So, it is widely expected that Celtic will go out and try to sign a winger this summer. They have been linked with a few in recent times.

Michel Ange-Balikwisha was linked with the club going back to last summer. The Belgian might be ready to leave Royal Antwerp this time around. On the other hand, it is believed that they made a failed bid to sign Sondre Orjasaeter from Sarpsborg in January. Will the Hoops revisit that interest?

Now, a new name appears to have emerged on the club's radar. As reported by FotbollDirekt, Oskar Fallenius is a transfer target for both Celtic and Rangers. Representatives from the two Glasgow clubs have watched him in action for Djurgarden. They are said to be considering making bids for the Swedish winger.

Fallenius played his part in getting Djurgarden to the semi-finals of the UEFA Conference League. But then, he ended up missing the semi-finals against Chelsea, as they were eliminated from the competition.

Overall, Fallenius does not have very impressive numbers in front of goal though. So, one has to wonder why he has caught the eye of a club like Celtic, where the expectation is to deliver every matchday.

It remains to be seen if Celtic do end up making a bid to sign Fallenius this summer. One has to imagine that the transfer fee cannot be significant. Interestingly, he is not even the only Djurgarden player being linked with the Hoops right now.
