Kieran Tierney will be pulling on the Celtic shirt once again in the future. The Arsenal left-back has already agreed a pre-contract agreement with the Hoops, which will see him make a return to his boyhood club as a free agent. But before that, he has a job do for Mikel Arteta's side and being the true professional that he is, he seems to be giving it his all.
Tierney, who looked completely out of Arteta's plans not too long ago, has played his way back into the Arsenal first-team once again. He has now featured in three consecutive Champions League games for them, including the most recent one, an unbelievable 3-0 win against Real Madrid.
Tierney was brought on as a substitute against Real Madrid. Instead of playing in his more favoured left-back position, he was deployed on the wing. And all things considered, the Celtic-bound player did a great job and saw the game over the line for Arteta's side.
Celtic were sent a message about their deal to sign Tierney on the back of his performance against Real Madrid. Tam McManus wrote:
"Kieran Tierney on for Arsenal and looks fit & sharp. Could win the Champions League this season so really is incredible business for Celtic to get him in the Summer."
Celtic sent Kieran Tierney message after performance vs Real Madrid
Celtic do deserve a ton of credit for getting a pre-contract agreed with Tierney early. On the back of these performances, there could have been a lot more interest to sign him in the summer.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Arsenal. Judging by their performance against Real Madrid, a 3-0 win and the margin could have been much wider if not for Thibaut Courtois in goal for the Spanish team, the Premier League giants certainly have to be one of the favourites for the Champions League now.
So, it is very possible that Celtic could end up getting a Champions League winner for free in the summer. It does not get better than that, does it?
