Celtic are back in action on Thursday night when they face Ferencvaros, kicking off the league phase of their Europa League campaign at Parkhead. The Bhoys know there is pressure to bounce back here, having suffered a 3-0 away defeat to Rangers.

The result in that game was one thing, but Celtic's performance was shambolic in nature, with the Gers bullying them off the pitch, and that's not something fans are going to accept in a game as big as the Old Firm.

Martin O'Neill's men now have a reputation of bottling big games in big atmospheres, and their biggest opportunities, aside from Old Firm games, to prove that notion wrong, is in Europe.

The Hoops are going to have to find a way to reach the knockout stage, even if it is via the playoffs, or this season could go down as a backwards step even if they are successful in the Premiership.

But in the short term, Celtic fans are going to be expecting a much better and much more spirited performance, and these home games are going to vital in Europe. Here we take a look at Celtic's current injury situation ahead of the game.

Alistair Johnston - Out

Johnston is out with a hamstring issue that will keep him out until after the international break, likely October.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - Out (Suspended)

Oxlade-Chamberlain is not available due to his three-game UEFA suspension, which expires after this game.

Yang Hyun-jun - Out (International)

Yang is not available due to being away with South Korea at the Asian Games.

Landon Emenalo - Out

Emenalo remains out injured having joined the club with an issue that will take a couple of weeks more to return from. Although, he is not in the UEFA squad.

Callum Osmand - Out

Osmand will spend another couple of weeks out with an ankle injury he picked up recently.
