It is not a secret that Celtic need to sign at least one winger this summer. Nicolas Kuhn left the club to join Como FC and it is surprising that the Hoops have not brought in a replacement for him already, considering he was a starter and one of their most important players last season. On the other hand, Jota is set to spend the rest of the year sidelined, having picked up a serious injury towards the end of the previous campaign, just when he was starting to showcase his best once again.

The situation is far from ideal. Celtic have little depth in that area and James Forrest looks like a starter once again. Nobody could have expected that to happen at this point in his career.

One can only hope that Celtic are able to get a deal done to bring in a winger as soon as possible. The good news is, it looks like there are finally some positive steps being taken in that direction.

A new name has emerged on the rumour mill. As reported by Africafoot, Celtic have made contact with the Malian international winger Oumar Traore. The Scottish club would have to pay around €3 million to convince Al Jazira to part ways with him. Negotiations are progressing well, and the player could soon be moving to Glasgow.

Traore is considered one of the best players in the UAE Pro League right now. He is also a full Malian international.

That being said, any move would come with its fair share of risk. Would he be able to make the adjustment to Scottish and European football?

If reports are accurate, then it looks like things are moving in the right direction. Let's see if something concrete ends up happening from here.
