This summer could be one of change at Celtic Park. The club have done incredibly well to put themselves in a position to win another potential treble. But despite that, we have certainly seen various areas of weakness in the team, especially in games against the Rangers, something that needs to be addressed in the upcoming transfer window.
Expect to see a few additions being made to Brendan Rodgers' squad. At the same time, quite a few faces are likely to head for the Parkhead exit door, whether it be in search of playing time or the next step in their careers.
One player who is almost certain to leave is Luis Palma. He is currently out on loan at Olympiacos, who hold a buyout clause as part of the deal.
Unfortunately for Palma, he has not been able to make much of an impact since joining the Greek club and it is believed that Olympiacos have already decided against activating that clause in his loan deal. But that does not mean that a return to Greece is off the table for the winger. On the other contrary, it looks like he might have a few options.
Celtic held talks over 25-year-old international winger
As reported by Sportime, Panathinaikos had Palma on their list even last December. AEK had gone even further, having entered into discussions with Celtic while PAOK are definitely looking for wingers this summer.
So, another return to Greece cannot be ruled out. Of course, Palma used to play for Greek side, Aris FC, before joining Celtic in the summer of 2023.
Of course, with all that being said, it is also worth mentioning that Palma could have other options as well. In the past, there have been suggestions that MLS clubs are keeping an eye out for him. It remains to be seen if that interest leads to anywhere of substance.
