With merely days left in the ongoing winter window, it looks like there could be a decent bit of activity at Parkhead, both in terms of incomings and outgoings, before the transfer period comes to an end. Celtic have been linked with a long list of players over the past few days with the departures of Kyogo and Alex Valle.
Hopefully, someone fresh faces will arrive at Celtic before this transfer window slams shut. On the other hand, it looks like the outgoings are still taking place.
As reported by Hellas Football, Olympiakos are close to bringing Luis Palma back to Greece. The deal with Celtic is supposedly a loan with a buy option of €4 million.
Also, as reported by De La Rocha, Palma will be travelling tonight from Glasgow to Greece. His flight has already been booked. Medical examinations are scheduled for this Friday morning.
Celtic have agreed late €4 million transfer deal
Palma was signed by the club from Aris FC in the summer of 2023, in the same window that Jota left. Incidentally, while the Portuguese winger has returned this winter, it appears that the man who was brought in to replace him is now on the way out.
Leaving seems like the best step for Palma at this point in time though. He has barely gotten any chances when everybody has been fit and available. It is very clear that he is not a major part of Brendan Rodgers' plans right now.
Palma has already played in Greece with Aris. So, the transition should not be a difficult one for him. On the other hand, it remains to be seen if the Hoops go about replacing him by signing another winger in the ongoing window. Considering the rumours, that would not be a surprise.
