Several key Celtic players are being linked with moves away this summer. Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kuhn have been in most of the headlines but that does not mean that others could not leave over the coming months. Cameron Carter-Vickers is someone who is believed to be drawing the interest of Premier League clubs.
More often than not, when that is the case, it leads to a Celtic exit. That is one thing that the fans are well aware of. If the right offer is on the table, the club will consider it, no matter who it is.
Carter-Vickers has now spent four seasons at Celtic. Is he happy to stay his prime years at Parkhead and establish himself as a club legend? Or does he have ambitions of going back to England?
It is worth pointing out that while Carter-Vickers was at Tottenham Hotspur before joining Celtic, he did not really have a run in the Premier League. He spent most of his time on loan at Championship clubs. So, the opporunity to play in the English top flight might attract him.
Celtic handed worrying Cameron Carter-Vickers exit news
It is believed that multiple Premier League clubs are interested in signing Carter-Vickers this summer. As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Graeme Bailey said about the situation:
"There’s a lot of interest in Cameron Carter-Vickers. He’s had an exceptional few years.
“And I know that Ipswich looked closely last summer and they did have the funding. The player is very happy at Parkhead but is he ready to return to the Premier League? I think he might be from what I’m told.
“I think there’s a real chance that the newly promoted teams in the Premier League, the Leeds and Sunderlands of this world, getting someone like him.
“I think there’s a good three or four Premier League clubs, from what I’m told, who hold a serious interest in him and I think Celtic might be up against it keeping him.
“As we know, every player has his price in this Celtic squad. And I think there’s a real danger that Carter-Vickers leaves."
Of course, if Carter-Vickers does decide to leave Celtic this summer, he has to choose his next move carefully. It might not be a smart move to join one of the newly-promoted Premier League sides. How many times have we seen them get relegated straight back to the Championship?
That is the last thing that Carter-Vickers needs at this point in his career. He needs to be playing top division football, whether it is at Celtic or down in England. So, let's see what he decides to do next. He has earned the right to choose his next move.
