This summer transfer window has been a confusing one for Celtic fans. The club had started brilliantly, reminding the supporters of the Ange Postecoglou era, as it looked like they were keen to get their business done early. But then, everything seems to have been frozen in terms of incomings, with the focus completely on players who could depart.
Over the past few weeks, we have seen plenty head for the exit door. Now, the attention has to turn back towards bringing in fresh faces to Parkhead. And they might be boosted in that regard, with another windfall potentially on the way.
Celtic have already been helped this summer by the windfall received from Jeremie Frimpong's move to Liverpool. Of course, one cannot claim that that has been put to good use yet. Hopefully, it will be in the remaining transfer window.
Now, another windfall might be on the horizon. As reported by the Glasgow Times, Josip Juranovic is reportedly attracting interest from Fulham and Burnley. Celtic have a sell-on clause.
Celtic handed massive boost by Fulham and Burnley
It is believed that Juranovic joined Union Berlin for a transfer fee in the region of £7.5 million, a figure that raised eyebrows considering the phenomenal World Cup campaign that he had enjoyed right beforehand. Any sell-on windfall will depend on the kind of profit that the Bundesliga club are able to make, if any.
Of course, English clubs have deep pockets. So, Celtic should be hopeful that they can land a decent windfall, if Juranovic's transfet does end up happening.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Juranovic and a potential transfer. On the other hand, Celtic must be focused on bringing some players to the club, and quality ones at that, as soon as possible.
