All the attention right now is surrounding Celtic's Scottish League Cup final against St Mirren. After losing the previous two games, the fans are having a tough time trusting Wilfried Nancy to guide the team to success at Hampden Park. On paper, the Hoops have to be the favourites. But the opposition will fancy their chances against a team that seems lost in the Frenchman's system.

Nancy does not look like someone who will move away from his methods though. That means that the club need to either consider a change already, which is unlikely, or back him by signing the right players in the winter transfer window.

Signing a new striker or two has to be at the top of their wishlist in January. And it looks like they might have the chance to bring in someone whom they wanted in the summer as well but could not get a deal done.

According to the Daily Record, Corriere del Mezzogiorno report that Napoli are happy to let Giuseppe Ambrosino go on loan next month. That is once Romelu Lukaku returns to fitness.

Ambrosino is highly regarded at Napoli. That being said, the numbers he has put up so far do not back it up, unfortunately.

Ambrosino has made only three appearances for Napoli this season and has not scored a single time. Other than that, he has only managed 10 goals in 87 appearances across a variety of lower league Italian teams while away on loan.

At 22 years of age, you would imagine that he would not have a tough time finding the back of the net in the second division of Italian football. But we have seen that being the case in the past, which raises question marks around his abilities.
