Greg Taylor has spent six seasons playing for Celtic. During that period of time, he has won a number of trophies and has been a regular starter for the majority of them. It does look like the Scottish left-back will be bringing an end to his stint at Parkhead this summer when his current deal with the club runs out.
Kieran Tierney has agreed a pre-contract with Celtic and will be making a return to Parkhead next summer. At 27 years of age, Greg Taylor is not keen to be a second-choice option. That is understandable. In fact, he has struggled to get into the team since the arrival of Jeffrey Schlupp on loan in the winter.
Kris Boyd recently made the suggestion that Taylor could be a good signing for the Rangers. Since then, there has been some speculation about a move to Ibrox despite how far-fetched it sounds.
Of course, nothing can ever be ruled out in football, but some things are certainly improbable. As it turns out, Taylor would make the move to Ibrox, but only on one condition.
Celtic: Greg Taylor will join Rangers only on one condition
As reported by Football Insider, Taylor will only move to Rangers as a last resort with his Parkhead career looking set to come to an end. Such a switch is unlikely, given the potential ramifications on his legacy at Celtic.
So, Rangers fans should take any such rumours with a grain of salt. It is unlikely that Taylor will end up at Ibrox.
There is a very good chance though that he ends up at Dinamo Zagreb. He has been linked with the Croatian club for a little while now and on paper, such a move does make sense for Taylor at this point in his playing career.
