Many looking from the outside believe that it is easy to succeed at Celtic. After all, the club win trophies every year, score a lot of goals and have a great support behind them. That sounds simple on paper. But in reality, it is very difficult to cope with the pressure that comes at Parkhead as the Hoops are expected to win pretty much every game they take part in.

So, over the years, even highly-rated players have come to Celtic and struggled. One name that has to fall under that category is that of Nat Phillips.

Phillips was brought in on loan from Liverpool. Of course, when you are coming from Anfield, big things are expected from you. Unfortunately, the defender was not able to meet any of them and was not even a starter for Celtic before heading back.

Since then, Philipps has been on loan to two other clubs. And now, he has finally found a permanent home for himself as things were clearly not working out at Liverpool.

As reported by West Bromwich Albion's official account, the club have signed Phillips for an undisclosed fee. Liverpool have announced his exit as well.

While neither club has disclosed the transfer fee, we do have an update on that matter. As reported by James Pearce, it's a £3 million deal, inclusive of add-ons.

Let's see how things go for Phillips at West Brom. It might be the right club for him to find his feet and finally a permanent home for himself.

Phillips did have some runs at Liverpool when it looked like he was set for big things. In the 20/21 campaign, he made 20 appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side. But at 28 years of age, he now finds himself in the Championship.

Of course, this is not unfamiliar to Phillips. He has spent time at three clubs in the Championship before this. They came at Bournemouth, Derby County and Cardiff City, all on loan from Liverpool.

As for Celtic, that centre-back position remains a problem. While Cameron Carter-Vickers has been a starter since arriving at Parkhead, he has not had a consistent partner since the departure of Carl Starfelt. The likes of Gustaf Lagerbielke, Auston Trusty and Maik Nawrocki have also been brought in. But it has never really worked out. Will the Hoops find the solution this summer?
