It all seems to be unravelling at Celtic after their defeat at the hands of Dundee FC at the weekend. It was another toothless display from Brendan Rodgers' side. That has been the norm this season but in the past, they were able to eke out results. This was their first loss of the league campaign and in the process, they are now five points behind Hearts in the Scottish Premiership title race.
Many would argue that it is far too early to be worried about what the table looks like. That is fair, considering it is mid-October. That being said, it is not just the results that Celtic fans are worried about.
The even more worrying thing is that it is hard to think of a way by which Celtic can improve from here. It feels like Rodgers has already shown his hand and has nothing left up his sleeve either.
On top of that, one can only wonder how the team will react to the 'Honda Civic' comments. Will Rodgers lose the dressing room as a result of it? And if that happens, there is only one way this ends, and that would be with his sacking.
Celtic finally handed some good news after official announcement
There were also some worries that Rodgers could choose to walk out of the Celtic job again, with Nottingham Forest rumoured to be showing interest after sacking Ange Postecoglou after just 39 days in charge. But that is not going to be happen now.
Nottingham Forest have officially announced the appointment of Sean Dyche as their new manager. He was part of their youth team once upon a time and now returns as the head coach, having put pen to paper on a contract running until the summer of 2027.
That means that one less option for Rodgers to consider for the time being. Although, it is the results that Celtic fans will be a lot more worried about.
