Things are picking up pace for clubs all around Europe. Chelsea have already announced the signing of Liam Delap. Liverpool have brought in Jeremie Frimpong. The likes of Manchester United, Man City and Arsenal are believed to be working on big deals as well. Even the Rangers seem to be on the verge of announcing the appointment of Russell Martin as their new manager. There is not much movement when it comes to Celtic though.

It is believed that they have agreed pre-contract deals with Kieran Tierney and Ross Doohan. But what are the club doing beyond that?

They have been linked with quite a few players in recent weeks and months. No progress appears to have been made when it comes to any such deals though. Right now, high-profile exits feel a lot more likely than arrivals, with uncertainty around the futures of Daizen Maeda, Nicolas Kuhn, Reo Hatate, Arne Engels and more.

Amid all this, the club appeared to tease the release of a trainer. A video was posted along with the caption "8am...", something that did not go down well with a lot of fans on social media and they made their feelings clear in the comments.

Under the video, one Celtic fan wrote: "How about some signings."

Another added: "How about start announcing some improvements to the starting 11?"

That was the general feeling among the fans when it comes to this teaser. It was hard to find a single positive comment on the post, which just goes to show that the club have got this timing completely wrong.

It remains to be seen if the signings are eventually made by the club or not. At the moment, they do not seem advanced in any discussions but it does not take much time for things to change when it comes to the transfer market. Hopefully, the Hoops will get their moves done early.
