It would be safe to say that too many Celtic players did not impress against the Rangers at the weekend as they lost 3-2. It was the Hoops' second-straight Glasgow Derby defeat at the hands of a team that entered Parkhead 16 points behind them in the Premiership and the third consecutive time that they have conceded three goals against them.
Things need to improve, that is for sure. Hopefully, it was a wake-up call for everybody involved and some additions will be made in the summer that will improve the team immediately.
One player who had had nothing but praise before this weekend was Jeffrey Schlupp. There were even calls for him to be signed on a permanent basis in the summer.
It would be safe to say that a lot of opinions have changed around Schlupp following his performance against the Rangers. The Crystal Palace loanee struggled and now, it looks like a lot of fans would be happy to see him depart at the end of the campaign.
Schlupp can go at the end of the season. He offers nothing. Kuhn the same. Johnston and CCV waste of a jersey and Schmeichel was atrocious.

Jeffrey Schlupp had a poor performance today, which I hope puts an end to discussions about signing him on a permanent contract in the summer. We need an upgrade, as he allowed players to run past him during the second half.

Canβt be too harsh on them as we had the league wrapped up in October but some terrible performances today.

Engels, McCowan and Schlupp should all be gone in the summer at the first opportunity, Carter Vickers worst game in a Celtic jersey today too
Celtic fans want player gone after performance vs Rangers
Unfortunately, that is how fast the outlook on a player can change in the modern game. Schlupp has gone from hero to zero within a very short time.
Overall, one cannot deny that he has done a good job for Celtic since arriving in the winter on a deadline day loan deal from Crystal Palace. His contract with the Premier League club is believed to be running out in the summer as well, which means that he might very well be available as a free agent.
Greg Taylor has yet to extend his contract with Celtic, which has led to many fans wondering whether the club could sign Schlupp on a permanent basis. Of course, they have agreed a pre-contract with Kieran Tierney already.
