It was the first Celtic game at Ibrox in years with away fans in attendance. There were lots of reasons quoted for the ticket ban but one possibility was the way the Hoops fans celebrated past wins at the stadium. The home fans who hadn't left early back then didn't take kindly to seeing the celebrations in their own backyard.
On Sunday, it was a more subdued game, even with the away fans back. The title already being won, Celtic were looking ahead to another potential treble, and Rangers' season was bound to finish without silverware again.
A 1-1 draw still left the Celtic fans happy at the end. But those in the stadium and many watching at home took the chance to take a dig at the Rangers before the match even started.
It’s partly down to their past claims about winning the most trophies. Celtic have, of course, now overtaken the Rangers' total, no matter how you count them and even if you include all those from before they were liquidated. And with a possible Scottish Cup still to be won, the gap could get even wider by the end of this season.
Celtic fans at Ibrox take brilliant dig at Rangers
That all makes the playing of “Simply The Best” as the teams run out even funnier. And that's where the Celtic fans all over couldn't help pointing out the irony. Those in the stadium stunned the home support by singing out the tune themselves. Others watching elsewhere joined in on social media.

It’s another bad look for the Rangers and has prompted calls to make changes. Not only will the new investors have to work out what to do with all the signage around claiming to be the world’s most successful club, but they will now also have to consider removing the song from the pre-match routine.
This is just one more in the seemingly unending series of laughs for Celtic fans. Although the Ibrox supporters over there have hope of the new investors bringing change, the Hoops fans will still be ready to have a laugh.
