Fortunately, there is a bit more positivity around Celtic at the moment. Of course, we all know that it can all change in the blink of an eye. Wilfried Nancy has won back-to-back games. That is pretty much the expectation at Parkhead though. Next up is a visit to Motherwell. But the real test will be against the Rangers at home.

If Celtic lost to the Rangers at Parkhead, this will turn into a crisis in the eyes of most fans, and there might be no way back for Nancy. Do not forget, he did lose his first four games after arriving and his overall record with the club is terrible.

Even the two games that Nancy has won as Celtic manager were far from convincing. There are things to like going forward. But at the back, the Hoops look frail.

One could argue that Celtic do not have the right personnel for Nancy's system to begin with. The club need to bring those players in this January. And it looks like a Premier League full-back has caught their sight.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Celtic are eyeing a January loan move for Julian Araujo. Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola is likely to sanction a loan move and the Scottish champions are strong contenders to sign him.

Araujo has made just one appearance for the Cherries this season. He had joined the club for a transfer fee in the region of €10 million from Barcelona in the summer of 2024. It would be safe to say that things have not gone according to plan since then.

He does have some pedigree though. Just over a year ago, he was on the books at Barcelona. He also played a decent bit of La Liga football while on loan at Las Palmas. At international level, he has represented both Mexico and the United States.
