It feels like every day a new Celtic player gets linked with a move away from Parkhead. Of course, Nicolas Kuhn has been the Hoops' talisman this season and clubs like Fulham and Brentford are rumoured to hold an interest in him. But he is not the only one who is shining for the Scottish champions right now.

Another Celtic player who has made a remarkable start to this season is Alistair Johnston. The Canadian international has always been a steady presence at the back, since joining in early 2023.

But now, he appears to be making the difference in front of goal as well. According to stats from Transfermarkt, Johnston has 4 goals and 5 assists this season so far.

That is phenomenal output for a full-back. And Gordon Dalziel believes that he is one player who will be on the radar of English teams. As reported by 67 Hail Hail, the pundit told Superscoreboard about Johnston:

"I just think he’s improved immensely, and he’s the kind of player that English teams, of course, will have him on their radar, but Celtic fans are not wanting to lose any of their big players or any of their big stars."

Not only is Johnston proving to be a success for Celtic at the domestic level, but he is doing well in the Champions League as well. Of course, there is always a lot more eyeballs on Europe's top competition.

At the international level, Johnston is a regular for the Canada national team. So, he certainly has the pedigree and experience to succeed down south.

But at the same time, he also feels like the kind of player who could end up having a long Celtic career and establish himself as a club legend at Parkhead. At the end of the day, he is not someone that English clubs would shell out record fees for and one would think that the Hoops are in a position where they do not have accept low transfer offers.
