Wilfried Nancy might be the most relieved man in Glasgow this week. After losing his first four games as Celtic manager, he finally found a way to win. It was not an easy result by any stretch of the imagination. It was 1-1 until Kieran Tierney put the Scottish champions ahead in the 88th-minute of the match. James Forrest put the game to bed in added time as it ended 3-1.

He has already succeeded in the first step. Now, it remains to be seen if he can navigate the next fixture, which is against Livingston.

The Hoops have made their next choice, and it is one that will make the fans happy. As reported by Football Insider, Celtic plan to appoint Martin O'Neill as the club's manager for the rest of the season if they end up sacking Nancy.

O'Neill did a tremendous job while he was the interim manager. In the eight games that he took charge of, he won seven of them. His only loss came at the hands of FC Midtjylland, who are enjoying a tremendous campaign, in the Europa League.

Of course, the best-case scenario for Celtic would be if it works out for Nancy. The Frenchman has clearly been brought in to be the long-term answer. Unfortunately, O'Neill, at 73 years of age, won't be that, no matter how well he does.

Let's see what the future holds for Celtic and Nancy. The result against Aberdeen was a step in the right direction but it was far from perfect. Hopefully, the club will keep moving in the right direction from here and there won't be a need for change.
