Celtic have enjoyed an impressive start to the season, even with that black mark of the Champions League qualifying second leg, remaining unbeaten in the Premiership so far.
The Bhoys have some solid options after a 10-man recruitment drive over the summer, but what does their current depth chart look like? Here we take a look, and keep in mind that some players will be included more than once due to their ability to play more than one position.
Goalkeeper
Viljami Sinisalo, Sam Johnstone, Ross Doohan
Sinisalo currently leads the way after a very solid start to the season, but O'Neill has said he is open to competition from loan signing Sam Johnstone.
Left-back
Kieran Tierney, Liam Scales, Landon Emenalo
Tierney is clearly the starting left-back. After him comes centre-back Liam Scales, who is clearly the main back-up, given new signing Landon Emenalo has been left out of the European squad.
Centre-back
Cameron Carter-Vickers, Auston Trusty, Liam Scales, Dane Murray
Carter-Vickers has been the best-performing Celtic centre-back so far, but Auston Trusty hasn't been far behind. Both centre-backs are the clear preferred partnership, while Scales is the next best option, and then Murray.
Right-back
Alistair Johnston, Colby Donovan, Jordan Lotomba, Anthony Ralston
Johnston will be the starting right-back when he returns, and after deputising well, Donovan is likely the main back-up for now. New signing Lotomba is the third option, likely ahead of Ralston, who has struggled to earn any sort of trust from O'Neill so far.
Centre-midfield
Callum McGregor, Mika Baur, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Oliver Sorensen, Joel van den Berg, Luke McCowan
Assuming the central roles are defensive in nature, which is O'Neill's current Celtic system, McGregor is the main option, then comes Baur, who has edged ahead of Oxlade-Chamberlain, offering more legs. Sorensen has made a couple of appearances from the bench and looks to be the next option, while Van den Berg and McCowan will also be options.
Attacking midfield
Benjamin Nygren, Joel van den Berg, Mika Baur
Nygren is head and shoulders above the rest in this role, but Van den Berg is more attacking and will be the main alternative. Baur can also play there.
Right-wing
Haissem Hassan, Camilo Duran, Yang Hyun-jun, James Forrest
Hassan has to be the main option here, given how well he has started, but Duran has been a regular out on the wing. Yang is preferred on the left, so he slips down on the right, and Forrest is seen as a supplementary option.
Left-wing
Yang Hyun-jun, Jota, Sebastian Tounekti
Yang has been superb here, so he has to be the number one, especially with Jota coming back from such a long-term injury, not expected back until next month. Still, with his talent, the Portuguese winger is likely to immediately jump ahead of Tounekti, who has struggled for consistency.
Centre-forward
Kasper Hogh, Camilo Duran, Callum Osman, Shim Mheuka
Hogh is preferred by O'Neill for his all-round game, but Duran is a goalscorer who will likely see plenty of game time here. Osman is liked by O'Neill and is likely just ahead of Mheuka when he gets back to full fitness.
