That result means that the Hoops now have four points from their first three games in the competition's new-look first phase. That leaves them in a decent position to make it to the next round.

Celtic have three winnable games in hand, at least on paper. And they have tough contests against RB Leipzig and Aston Villa. Taking anything out of those two matches would have to be considered a bonus.

Of course, the top club competition in Europe comes with its riches. As reported by Football Insider, Celtic could bring in around £48 million if they make it through to the knockout rounds of the Champions League this season.

Celtic have been posting record revenue numbers in recent years. But even by those standards, that figure would have to be considered 'astronomical' for the club and might help them take the next step.
