Kyogo is set to join Rennes while Jota will return to Celtic. It is not often that you see activity of this magnitude at Parkhead in the winter, especially just a day after the club secured their spot in the knockout phase of the Champions League. It just does not stop there though. There is more news to come regarding the Hoops.

Jota is set to complete his return to Celtic after just a year and a half away from the club. It must feel like a lifetime though considering how his career has gone since then.

Also, Jote is not the only one on the verge of agreeing a return to Parkhead. Someone who has been away for much longer seems to be on the verge of doing the same.

As reported by The Telegraph, Kieran Tierney is on the verge of agreeing a pre-contract with Celtic to seal a return to Parkhead. He has now moved close to re-signing for the Hoops. It still remains to be seen what Arsenal’s plans are for the rest of the campaign.

It has been almost six years since Tierney left Celtic in order to join Arsenal. He has had an up and down time since then.

Early on, Tierney shined at the London club and was even being viewed as a future Arsenal captain. But over time, he has lost his place in the team, largely due to his constant fitness issues and the arrival of other left-backs.

There have been suggestions that Celtic could agree a loan deal with Arsenal this January in order to accelerate Tierney's return to Glasgow. But the Scot has featured a few times for Mikel Arteta's side recently and as a result, they could choose to keep him until the end of the season, when his contract expires.
