Nicolas Kuhn has been Celtic's talisman so far this season. There can be very little doubt about that. Not only has the German winger contributed with goals and assists on a consistent basis, but he has also proven himself in big games. He scored a brace in the win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League and also found the back of the net against the Rangers in the Scottish League Cup final.

So, it is quite clear that Celtic are a better team when Kuhn is playing. We saw proof of that at the weekend as they could only manage a draw against Dundee United while the German winger was left out of the team.

Kuhn has picked up an injury. Now, it remains to be seen how long it will take before he is back on the pitch once again.

Unsurprisingly, Celtic fans have been left worried about the matter. But the good news is, it does not seem ton be something that will keep Kuhn out for long.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers drops Nicolas Kuhn injury news

As reported by 67 Hail Hail, when probed further by the BBC pitchside reporter about Kuhn and asked if he could offer more on the Celtic winger, Rodgers said:

"Yeah, its his knee. He obviously picked up an injury in the game last week, didn’t train for the first part of the week.

“He came out, working with the medical team and then he just felt it yesterday when he was preparing for the game just felt that change direction just when he passed it, he felt that little twinge.

“A couple of days rest, he would be okay."

That will be music to the ears of Celtic supporters. Hopefully, Kuhn is given the time that he requires to get back to full fitness and return to the pitch refreshed.

Celtic are in a comfortable position in the league right now despite dropping points at the weekend. It was a slip-up that the Hoops could afford. So, there is no point in rushing Kuhn back into action.

Celtic have quite a few fitness and health issues at the moment as well, which led to a much-changed team being fielded against Dundee United. So, the result and display was not really the end of the world.
