Celtic will need to take their A-game to the Allianz Arena if they are to have any hope of achieving their target this week. The Hoops have to overturn a 2-1 deficit from the first leg in Bayern Munich's own backyard. It will be one of the most famous nights in the club's history if they are able to pull it off away in Germany.

Bayern Munich have their own worries before the game though. Harry Kane appears to have picked up a facial injury and missed training recently.

The injury is not believed to be a serious one but there are question marks over whether he will be fit to face Celtic so soon after picking it up. Of course, if Kane is unavailable or unable to start, it would be a major blow for Bayern Munich.

Brendan Rodgers does not seem to be giving a ton of thought to the Kane news though, as the Celtic manager expects the England captain to play this week. While speaking in a media conference ahead of the showcase Champions League second leg, the manager said:

"It doesn’t change anything in terms of we need to win the game and we want to win the game. And if Harry didn’t play, then of course it’s a big miss for them. But I’m pretty sure there’s another world-class player that can come in and play. But I would expect Harry to play."

It remains to be seen how the Kane situation transpires over the coming days. While he did miss training recently, it is worth pointing out that the striker did play the full game against Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend.

It is in that game that Kane suffered his facial injury. So, all things considered, it feels like he should be fit enough to feature for Bayern Munich in a game of this magnitude.

It is good that Rodgers is not dwelling too much on the update surrounding Kane. That is not what Celtic need to be worried about. They must be prepared to face the best version of Bayern Munich.
