Celtic's search for a striker has seen them being linked with a long list of players. It is believed that they are closing in on a move for Shin Yamada if reports coming out of Japan are accurate. They have also been linked with a move for Giuseppe Ambrosino of Napoli. And now, it looks like another forward is on their radar.
Rather than making project signings like Yamada and Ambrosino, most Celtic fans would want to see the club go out and bring in a proven striker. Someone who would fall under that category is now being linked with the Scottish champions.
As reported by Gol.mk, both Celtic and Rangers have an eye on Bojan Miovski. German clubs Hamburg and Freiburg have inquired about him.
Of course, Miovski is a proven name in Scottish football, having scored consistent goals during his time at Aberdeen. Even back then, he was believed to be on the radar of Celtic but they were not able to sign him as he ended up joining Girona for a transfer fee believed to be in the region of £7 million.
Celtic and Rangers both want to sign £7 million striker
Things have not worked out for Miovski in Spain. He has failed to settle in at Girona and now, it might be time for him to leave, even though he has only spent a season with the club.
Let's see what the future holds for Miovski. Will Celtic make a move for that magnitude for him this summer, when there are more pressing issues in other positions of the pitch? We shall find out in the very near future.
Of course, Celtic have other strikers on their shortlist as well, as we have already mentioned. And it is more likely that they will go after one of them.
