Things are picking up pace in this summer transfer window. Celtic have already made four additions to the squad with more expected to come in the near future. Callum Osmand could be the next one in the door. On the other hand, there are plenty of players being linked with moves away from Parkhead as well.
Of course, the fans are used to see the Hoops' best performers leave. This summer might be o different in that regard.
Celtic's best player last season was Daizen Maeda. Naturally, that has seen him being linked with a move away and it looks like a bid might not be far away from arriving.
As reported by the Daily Record, Brentford could take "immediate action" and submit an offer. But Maeda's transfer valuation will be "carefully considered" before an offer is made.
Brentford could submit offer for Celtic player soon
Brentford have been linked with a move for Nicolas Kuhn in recent weeks. But now it looks like Maeda is on their radar as well and it is not hard to understand why that might be the case.
Maeda is capable of playing as a centre-forward and on the wing. He is also famed for his pressing ability and never-ending energy. So, he might be a valuable player to many Premier League teams, with Brentford being one of them. Other than that, he has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United in recent times.
Maeda has shown tremendous improvement in his output lately. He was not considered a good finisher in the past but scored 33 goals last season, alongside providing 12 assists.
Celtic fans won't want to see Maeda leave. But there is an understanding that if the right offer arrives, pretty much every player is available. What would that figure be for the Japanese international? One would hope that it is a Scottish record.
