Celtic have already said goodbye to one player in this window with Stephen Welsh leaving on loan in order to join Belgian side KV Mechelen. He is not the only one who looks set to depart Parkhead this winter though. There are quite a few others who have struggled for playing time in Brendan Rodgers' side lately and could do with a change of scenery.

Celtic are rumoured to be looking to strengthen their midfield this winter. On the other hand, there is one midfielder who could be heading for the exit door.

Of course, we are talking about Odin Thiago Holm. Not too long ago, he was touted as the 'next Martin Odegaard' in his homeland. But the midfielder has failed to make his mark since arriving at Celtic in the summer of 2023 and now, a loan exit seems to be on the horizon.

While speaking on the club's official YouTube channel. when asked about Holm potentially leaving on loan, Rodgers replied:

"Hopefully that will be confirmed soon. He is due to go out on loan."

There is no doubt that Holm is a talented player. But he has never quite been able to work his way into Rodgers' plans.

A loan move away would suit him well and gives him the opportunity to bring his career back on track after what must have been a frustrating 18 months or so at Celtic. It remains to be seen how he does away from Parkhead.

While Holm's destination is unclear, there have been suggestions that he is on the verge of joining LAFC. Of course, he is not the only Celtic player who is being linked with a switch to the MLS this month.

Both Luis Palma and Kyogo have been linked with moves to America as well. Now, it remains to be seen if any of those end up materialising.
