We have seen quite a few players leave Celtic in the ongoing winter transfer window. Of course, the one that has grabbed the majority of the headlines in that regard is Kyogo Furuhashi's move to Rennes. The Japanese forward had been one of the faces of the club for more than three seasons and will be missed.

While Kyogo's exit will come as a blow to Celtic, there are other players who are not making nearly that level of impact. In such situations, a move away might suit both the player and the club.

Luis Palma appears to fall under that category. After a strong start to life at Celtic Park, he has gradually slipped down the pecking order and now finds himself as a bit-part player in Brendan Rodgers' squad.

A move to Olympiacos is believed to be close. And Rodgers' recent comments also suggest that Palma is set to depart, on a loan deal with an option.

As reported by Glasgow World, Rodgers said regarding the potential exit of Palma:

"Yes, there’s a possibility for Luis to be leaving and I would expect that to go through. A loan with an option, yes."

So, Palma's move away from Celtic does not seem to be far away now. An official announcement might be made in the very near future, if not in the next hours.

As for Celtic, they have already added to their wing ranks this winter by bringing back Jota from Rennes. The Portuguese winger had been a superstar for the club before leaving 18 months ago to join Al-Ittihad.

Jota clearly found out that the grass was not greener on the other side of Parkhead. Now, he is back and hopefully, we will see him performing at those same heights he reached during his first spell at the club.

Also, it is possible that Celtic could end up signing another winger before the end of this transfer window. So, keep an eye out for that situation as well,
