Celtic have had their fair share of injury problems at the start of the season, which have contributed to their shaky start to the campaign. But on the pitch, it does look like the Hoops might be starting to pick up a bit of momentum with back-to-back wins. The performances of summer signings like Sebastian Tounekti have been a cause for excitement as well.

On the other hand, it looks like a few of Celtic's injury problems are clearing up as well. Anthony Ralston was recently pictured in training, ahead of the game against Red Star Belgrade. And it looks like another player is set to rejoin his teammates later this week.

That player is none other than Auston Trusty. The American had enjoyed a solid pre-season. So, it was curious when Rodgers preferred Liam Scales ahead of him at centre-back at the beginning of the campaign.

But as it turned out, Trusty might have been dealing with a fitness issue throughout. Eventually, it caused him to be sidelined. Now, he is on the verge of a return though.

After Ralston, Trusty is set to return to first-team training very soon. As reported by CeltsAreHere, Rodgers said:

"Tony is obviously back in training. Auston will join the team and the squad on Friday. Apart from that, all the same."

That is pretty good news for Celtic. Trusty never really convinced in his debut season for the Hoops and had eventually lost his starting spot to Scales.

But this pre-season, he had actually looked a lot better. So, we would like to see if he has now raised his game and settled to the point that he can be a starter for the Hoops.

Of course, there are some others who remain on the sidelines. The first name that comes to mind in that regard is Jota. We would like to see the winger back in action as soon as possible but that is unlikely to happen in 2025.
